Skill Gap Analysis

« Back to Glossary Index

A skills gap analysis is a tool or test that measures your students current progress vs. the desired progress.

This tool is helpful for recommending additional learning materials or promoting students to the next level or course.

It provides measurable data that supports either decision, which will come in handy if you need to explain your choices.

A skills gap analysis can also reveal gaps within your curriculum. For example, if many students are falling short of the learning objectives, that could be an indicator of an underdeveloped lesson plan or module.
