Backdrop

« Back to Glossary Index

The backdrop is the physical environment within the video component of your course. You can buy an actual backdrop, which is usually a cloth or other type of material. They come in a variety of colors, fabrics, and finishes, so it’s easy to convey your personality and work setting.

As another option, you can simply arrange or stage your surroundings into a more eye-catching setup. For example, you could try adding a plant to your desk or rearranging your bookshelf.

No matter what you choose, it’s important to pay special attention to the backdrop so that it appropriate and not distracting to your students.
