SAM

« Back to Glossary Index

The Successive Approximation Model (SAM) is a quick learning process where teachers get feedback earlier in the material.

The SAM method uses iterations (looping) to teach and confirm in small steps. This is an alternative to teaching a lot of material and then having a big test after weeks of instruction or at the end of the course.

In elearning the SAM method should use feedback, questions, quizzes, and surveys to verify each chunk of new knowledge.

Related to ADDIE method, agile.
