White labeling is when you use a 3rd party tool, but offer a course or service via your own domain.
Using your domain provides a more professional look and feel, even though you are using other vendor tools.
Ex.- Before white labeling, your URL is www.YourMusicCourse.vendorsite.com. Where vendorsite is the website host.
Once you connect your course to your personal domain, your URL will be www.YourMusicCourse.com.
The white labeling technique uses your website DNS to add a CNAME record. The DNS stores the addresses to your website, email server, and other areas. The CNAME record adds a row to your DNS directory that allows you to define a web link like example.YourMusicCourse.com to the course system webpage.
In general, this technique ensures that each part of your course is clearly named and aligned with your brand, which allows you to better market your course. Using your brand helps students feel more comfortable when making payments and providing their information to a system.
