ADDIE is a traditional instructional design methodology used to create e-courses and related content. It stands for:
- Analysis
- Design
- Development
- Implementation
- Evaluation
Each step within ADDIE suggests what task should be done and when. For example, when creating a course, the instructional designer (ID) should design the course first by collecting relevant images, creating a script, etc. Then, in the development stage, the ID can develop the course in their preferred course authoring tool.
Overall, it’s important to establish and organize the details of your course before you execute it in order to stay organized, focused, and efficient.
